IS it true that MLC got the wrong papers for their exam..
but they still to sit their examination...?????

Yes.
Apparently 80% of the paper was the same so they marked the 80% and used standardisation (somehow) for the last 20%.

Apparantly they did and raised the issue with the examiners, but they replied saying that all the exams were the same this year.

The question is why didn't someone higher up notice before hand that the incorrect exam papers were delivered to the school.

i heard that they do methods CAS but got the standard methods paper instead....prob woulda made it easier since they had their calcs with em

But I think they get the disadvantage since they're getting a derived score.  And getting ranked against the CAS students, not the normal students.

Would that be an advantage, though? Is the competition higher with non-CAS or CAS?

It says what the exam is on the front cover, and the examiner should ask for you to check that you have the correct examination paper. How could NOBODY in the entire school have noticed?

I'm guessing they noticed but it was too late to change. You know how everyone in the state has to do it at the exact same time. I don't think there could've been a viable exception (or maybe tell the students to remain in the examination hall until they obtain a few hundred copies of the correct paper but undoubtedly some would've seen what's in the paper before few realise they've got the wrong paper).
