=/ I am confused about this levels stuff.

Level 1 = ?
Level 2 = ?
Level 3 = ?
Level 4 = Methods
Level 5 = Spesh

And then they're further split into General and Challenge class???
2009
~ Methods (Non-CAS) [48 --> 49.4]

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]
~ Chem [43 --> 46.5]
~ English [46 --> 46.2]
~ UMEP Maths [5.0]

2010 ATAR: 99.90
Aggregate 206.8

Levels 1 & 2 are both competition maths
Level 3 is MM 1/2
Level 4 is MM 3/4
Level 4 is Spesh

In Levels 3-5 (only i think), these are split into Challenge and General classes:

Challenge: Harder to get into, he corrects your homework and you get ranked (more expensive!)

General: Easier to get into, he gives you the homework and doesn't correct it (cheaper!)

Hope this is easy to understand!
Remember, remember the 5th of November

2010 - MM CAS (47) - Cisco 1+2 (pass :P)
2011 - Eng - Phys - Chem - Spesh - Latin - UMAT
ATAR - 99.00+ plz... :)

Feel free to PM me for anything :D

Yeah, for levels 3 and above, it sticks with the course very well, except for the fact that if you can do all the questions Dr He throws at you at those levels, the VCE exam would seem like a breeze.

Also, you need pretty widespread maths skills to get through some of the harder homework questions, otherwise you won't be able to handle it!
The in-class questions can also be a bit daunting for new students (bwahaha! :D), particularly with the time limit!

>.< I couldn't finish all the questions we did in class-time last time, had like half a question to go.

This week's homework is way easier than last week's (especially the challenge question, already did it in GMA lol).

Usually, that's the case, he's definitely great for skill consolidation

I'm considering dropping Dr. He next term...the travel to Box Hill is annoying, and it's two hours on a Saturday...sigh...

Personally, I really like Dr He's method of teaching, as it goes through the fundamentals in a way that helps you remember them (whenever we do trig at school, I can picture him saying "trigonometry", jokes ;D) and he focuses a lot on ways to remember and derive formulas if in doubt.
Also, the homework poses a good challenge, particularly for people who are bored in class and need something to keep them interested in maths

he is like a god to us students of his. He really is well worth the money and would higly recommend him to anyone that can get in. Yes, he is focussed on higher achiving students, but he kinda takes off from where school leaves you and give you a much more deatil unedrstanding behind the concepts taught at school. This is especially hepful for tricker analysis questions. however, IMO, unless you RELI RELI like maths level 1 and 2 are kinda surplurflous. However, they are really good if you want to do well in competitions like melb uni and westpac.

His 'fobbiness' is just part of his teaching. He uses all these weird analogies and examples that i gurantee you will remember purely because of their weirdness.

basically awesome if you wanna perfect you maths.

However, you do have to become very used to getting shit marks i.e. 30/40%. i put up with being bottom of the class ever week and he publishes all the scores of the hw and tests on a big board everone sees and compares themselves on
