i dont like this anymore than you guys will but i guess its rather expected; for the english exam marks are being taken of for no headlines and not communicating to the correct audience, i heard this from a exam marker who corrected this years exams(from merrylands college)

We were told the opposite, so don't worry about this!

That's great news Synetshetic! Could I ask when you received that information? (Immediately after exam or more recently after marking?)

At school, 13 days after the English exam, I saw my Head of English and he said so

He told me and a friend that he had personally contacted (some of) the English markers - and it was supposedly confirmed that it was unreasonable for them to deduct marks for this.

WE will never know. We just get a grade for the whole exam, so you cant work out whether a mark was deducted or not. unless u get the statement of results.

Even the statement won't show. The assessment report MIGHT though, and hopefully they do so people in future will know how to deal with this ambiguous VCAA crap.

To me, this issue is not so much a question of our respective credibilities as it is an indication of the apparent disparities between individual English markers' opinions, which is in turn a consequence of the ambiguous new course outline.
