Moderator edit: Updated information

Just thought I'd make an IRC channel for us to hang out and chat in :D

If you have an IRC client (eg. HydraIRC, HexChat, mIRC) installed, connect to irc.freenode.net and join the #atarnotes channel. If you do not have an IRC client, you may use the Webchat I've set up: click the CHAT button up the top (with HOME, HELP, SEARCH, etc.) or you can use the link http://webchat.freenode.net/.

Simple commands (especially if using http://webchat.freenode.net/):
To join the channel #channel: /join #channel
To change nickname to "bob": /nick bob
To quit: /quit

N.B. Impersonating another user (especially forum admin or mod) is against forum rules

Anyone here use IRC often? :D

I use X-Chat 2. And uhm, no one is on. Wait until December 16/17th, it'll be packed.  :P

IRC is a chat protocol, and an IRC channel is basically a chat room on an IRC server. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRC

I'll check it out on Dec 17th, but MSN is a lot more convenient for normal chatting, IMO.

Hahaha, they're fun sometimes... but RAM-hogging. I don't have large group chats though. The only reason for one would be results, and that's on Dec 17th :)
