.... it does get a bit strange when it's just for pleasure....
lets not turn this into a religion war here, but i believe it's out of love, not out of carnal needs

which makes prostitution, one-night-stand, or anything among those lines unacceptable for me...

and as a note if you ask, i'm not religious

Well, prostitution is a mutually agreed transaction. The prostitute trades his/her service for money. It is a victimless event, so I would say it's pointless to make it a crime.
