Well, I had them when I was young (and now the teeth that had them have fallen out :)), so I'm not sure if I still remember it well, but I don't remember it hurting at all.

It's just filling up a cavity in your tooth (after cleaning it out). You'll feel some weird tingling pressure from the high-pressure cleaning device that dentists use, but that's about it. Just make sure if it's a metallic filling, don't chew on aluminium: it creates a battery in your mouth and you get zapped LOL.

What type of filling are you getting??
There are those ones that you don't need a needle for, and i remember getting them when i was younger, and i remember it didn't hurt it tickled lol :S
but then i think there are other fillings that you have to get a needle for?? so the only pain would be the stinging of the needle... which isn't that bad

And if they use the injection, how many times would they usually stab your gum with it??  :'( :'( :'( I hate the tools they use....don't they have painless dentistry these days?

metal fillings (amalgam) - last longer, cost less, looks obvious
white fillings (composite) - doesn't last as long, cost more, looks good

Your teeth will be sensitive to heat/cold/pressure for a bit probably. You know what's even more fun than fillings? Getting teeth extracted!  :o

They stabbed me like 4 or 5 times when I got my wisdom teeth out (one side of mouth only).

I remember it was twice for me, but it doesn't hurt that much, getting a vaccination hurts more lol
And yeah getting teeth pulled out hurt a lot more (i havent had one pulled out but i've heard it hurts)

Hmm, but it doesn't hurt that much. So don't worry! It's worth it if you don't want the procedure to hurt even more. Imagine: a second of pain compared to pain elapsed over a longer time frame. The numbing sensation is cool though. You can punch yourself in the face and you'd feel nothing!

Look at it this way..There is no real pain when you get the filling and its short term, on the other hand if you dont get the filling the pain will be much worse and its long term

Decayed teeth isn't exactly a good look either, lol.

After the fillings you'll be like: "<3333 fillings! <3333 dentists!"
