efTel is lauching VDSL 2 nationwide (well at least in the urban areas lolz) :D :D :D :D

VDSL has a maximum throughput of 100mb/s up and downstream. (not MegaBytes (MB/s), but megabits (mb/s))

EFTel/aaNet is a very small provider, and is unlikely to be able to deploy a national network for some time. It's likely to appear in selected exchanges where most customers reside (typically Perth).

So we may be waiting a LONG time.

Inside news @ Telstra has it that they are beginning to test VDSL2 equipment in exchanges.
