Lol, I couldn't get my P's even if I tried. I am not as skilled as a driver as I would like to be :(. I am probably in the remaining 47% who fail on each occasion (it took me 3 tries just to get my L's...).

the result of your L's (or attempts) don't exactly reflect how well you drive... its just a stupid test that asks things that no one will ever remember (like all tests/exams)

Lol what do you mean! It tests you understanding of the theory behind road rules!!!

Some of the stuff on the Ls test was stupid eg "When you are on your Ps, what special rules do you have" (obviously more specific then that) and I'm like I DONT CARE THATS 2+ YEARS AWAY.

I think my score was pass mark + 1 :P (as in 1 question, not 1%)

lol the stuff on the Ls test is pretty important, if you disobey any road rules (which is what most of the Ls test is on) during your Ps test you fail immediately.

On the practice test one of the questions had a picture of a red light and said "what do you do here"

I got it wrong because I thought it was a trick question

My test is in exactly one week  :-\
And to think I could've been on the old system (was 18 on June 16th).
But I was too unprepared back then and I guess the new system's not so bad.

I could tell you the P-plate tales of Glockmeister, but that's his story to tell.

I passed :D
It was pretty good. I didn't do anything too bad except not use my mirrors enough and doing head checks when moving into a turning lane.
I only had to do a 3 point turn, not parallel park! Test seemed to go on forever though, easily 30 mins plus.

I went for my first solo drive this morning - 5 mins to the train station lol.
It was weird being alone but I'm sure I'll get use to it pretty quickly.  :)

There's a big story indeed, but the most important thing is that I am now a P-Plater.
