I got my green Ps today and i was intrigued by the accompanying letter explaining how to dispose of my old red P-plates. Its clear that the government is making a poor attempt to connect with the youth by suggesting such things as "make it into a paper plane." But in the end, their still the government, so it says "throw it to your brother" rather than "throw it AT your brother" like most people would.

I got my green Ps as well.

Hmm... "Failure to display the correct P plates from July 1 2008 may result in incurring three demerit points."
Seems pretty low to hit someone with that simply because they forget to switch the plates over...

Just got mine today, along with the humorous letter. It's actually impossible to make P plates into a paper plane.

Will it Blend?

That is the question......

Any1 care 2 try it? *sneaky eyes*

U no.. the government could have actually been intuitive and put a big box in every VicRoads branch for us to chuck our old red P-plates in2. They could've then RECYCLED these P-plates by giving sets to the new red P-platers (July 1 2008 onwards), rather than encouraging us to litter our rivers with 'p-plate sail boats'. I'm sure a handful of supermarkets would've been happy to help by not crushing an odd 10 boxes each. The wonders of using free boxes compared to the cost of printing a whole bunch of coloured pictures... ::)

Urgh... I usually don't care enuf 2 complain, but it just seems so dumb...
