stupid computer companys

So i got my computer yesterday and it has vista and non of my programs worked.So i thought of formating so then i looked in my computer box and there was no dam driver cd  :-[  So i downloaded the driver that took 1 hour to find the correct ones for windows xp then. i formatted and put windows xp then my things worked  :2funny:.

My main point is why do they exspect you to download the freakin drivers  :o

I would be angry as well. When you buy the computer, you assume it's ready to use.

you only paid ~500, what do you expect....?

oh, and vista comes with pretty much all the drivers you need, plus it auto-dl new drivers where u need them. so in reality, there's no need for a driver disk for a computer with vista.


But now that you are running xp, things will be a lot better.

Vista has limited backwards compatibility (older programs dont work), as well as it eats the memory in your computer like nobody's business, especially graphics...

Wrong. Most programs still work - it's often driver issues that have caused the pains in Vista...something that doesn't *generally* occur with newer hardware.

Real men COMPILE their own kernel...and then compile their drivers. Not many of them left in the world, though =(

The good drivers are the ones that are in the kernel, and in case you were wondering, I always compile my own :)
