Who feels like they 'cheated' the system?

Okay, this is what I mean...

I got my SoMs yesterday for all of my subjects, and I was shocked!

In spec exam 1 particularly, it said I got 8/40, 1 mark off a D+... But it turns out that everything I had attempted was indeed correct! The 1/4 of 3 questions (including part a, b, c etc) was all right... I was thinking E for sure, but obviously not...

And in Methods, I fluked the first 3 questions in exam 1. My only explanation was the assessors must have been intoxicated when they marked my exam? :P... And exam 2... I was 1 mark away from a B+... This is too weird... I think I had underestimated my skills in maths WAY too much!

Who else feels they got more than they deserved? :(

damnit, i thought i was going to read about actually cheating the system. :P

I feel I played the system (learning how to write what they want you to write, given that learning actual content is boring)

Hehe, I was just too shocked at my maths results to do anything... And my B+ was one mark off an A in English... Drunk assessors I believe. :P

I feel like I "cheated" the system in Revs. I cannot believe I scored in the top 2% of the state with that load of absolute BULL I wrote in my exam, I was so dissatisfied with it!
I got screwed over in Biology though. Still easily got 40+, which I'm pretty happy about, but not the 45+ that my teacher expected - which if I'd gotten, would most likely have meant a 99+ ENTER for me.
And I think scaling is pretty fucked up sometimes >_<" !!!

i feel like i got a bit of a bonus in exam 1 for MMCAS.
i thought i actually got a B but it turned out that i got a B+ , even though i lost like 14 marks in exam 1 :)
however, i thought i would get an A+ for exam 2 but i actually got an A :(
so all in all, a 50-50 for me

I don't feel that I've 'cheated' the system, per se.

The system is indifferent to whether I win or lose. It only sets out the base rules by which I must play, so I've worked within these rules to succeed.

VTAC wants to give spesh 50+ scaling? Fine. I hate mathematics, but screw it, I'll drill myself even harder than those who do enjoy it. I don't need to enjoy it, I just need to be good at it.

This is how you beat the system. This is how I beat the system.

Yeah I feel like that a little bit with all my subjects, I'm not a consistent worker, I crammed for pretty much everything a few days before the exam, so I think I got much higher than I deserved (lower than I wanted though, lol)

But especially my music solo score, personal circumstances that year meant that I did next to no work on it, I learnt one of my pieces a week before the performance exam because I hated the composer and refused to learn it any earlier, and I only wrote a paragraph on a 12 mark question on the written. Definitely didn't deserve my study score for music >_>

in english i wrote the biggest bunch of crap ever that was contrary to everthing i have ever been taught just because i thought i didnt need english and i got 49. i did probably a quarter of the work of the people i know who got 49s and 50s. some people who did like 3 essays a week got 40 and i wrote about 6 essays the whole year. that makes me infinitely happy.

Lol I wrote about 3 essays in the whole year (all of them were for SACs, not practice essays I chose to wrote!) and got a high score in Eng Lang! =D And I reckon my exam essay was probably pretty well structured - but an utter load of crap!! The content was so shit, I reckon the marker must have been drunk or something :S

Ha try being told by Mr C on the very last day of Term 3 that we have an extra piece to learn for the exam! Dan and I had no idea about it until that day!

Well let's just say the subjects I did nothing for all year (BM and Methods) became my two highest, and the two I did all my work for (spesh and English) were my two lowest...EVEN AFTER SCALING.

So I guess I cheated BM and Methods, and got jibbed on the other two <.<

Ditto. Some of my friends tried so much harder than me, particular in Methods, and got the same or lower study score.

But especially my music solo score, personal circumstances that year meant that I did next to no work on it, I learnt one of my pieces a week before the performance exam because I hated the composer and refused to learn it any earlier, and I only wrote a paragraph on a 12 mark question on the written. I'm way confused about my music solo result. For the written exam I got an A. No idea how, majorly ran out of time, never get any of the aural stuff right and answered the last 12 mark question (in 2 minutes) with a hurried X vs Y approach that hardly made sense.

kinda for english and specialist maths. For english i stuffed up so bad and wrote crap for section B and still got B+ for the exam i would've thought it was worth a C+ overall..lol. For spesh, pfft, could count how many marks i got right on each exam on my hand yet still got 25? i was convinced i'd get like a 18..lol.
