...if I were to sell external hard drives at somewhat lower prices that you can purchase packaged external hard drives for, would you buy them?

Well, the idea was to build 3.5" drives for those who couldn't/wouldn't (i.e., the non-technical inclined).

depends on the size and price.
I'd like a back-up 250gb to mirror my current drive [which is in the Dell XPS, so prone to fail any minute because it SUCKS]
but how much would that set me back?
