I'm having serious issues in choosing whether to go to Melbourne and do a commerce degree followed by a Masters of engineer, or the commerce/engineering double at Monash.
One of the big sticking points with the Melbourne path is whether I have to choose an engineering disciple to major in when I enroll, or if I get a general first year and choose second. Does anyone know the answer to this? Contacted UoM and they've given me vague and contradictory answers. I really don't want to choose which engineering to major in,as I can pretty much see myself doing any of the majors offered.
Also, any idea of how hard it will be to get into the masters of engineering? Because for me, there is no point in my going to UoM if I don't get into the Masters with a CSP place (got an enter of 94.xx so I already fail on one of the apparent guide lines being a 95+ enter and 65% in last 2 years).
Is it possible to complete a engineering degree at Monash, and then go to Melbourne to complete the Masters with a CSP place? Or if that happens, it will be full fee?
Also with the Monash pathway, is there any opportunity for me to do postgrad commerce/engineering study at Monash with a CSP place ?
And lastly, How many majors can I do in the commerce component in commerce/engineering @ Monash?
I realize none of this might even matter with my enter, but I have to put something for a first preference
