hm...but the thing is I reckon I'd probably like business management more than economics...but 3 3\4 subjects in year 11 is just too much.

I really see no point in having a seventh subject if only six count in the ultimate ENTER score? On the other hand, if you didn't do as well as you could have in BM, you may repeat it, as you already know the course and can have a slight advantage over the others... But I strongly advise against repeating subjects, and I'm thinking a seventh subject wouldn't tremendously hurt if you do better in it that one of your other subjects...
People do a seventh subject out of interest for the subject...
This year (year 10)

Business Management 1&2 (I actually liked it)
English 1&2
Methods 1&2

Next year (year 11)

Methods 3&4
Business Management 3&4
National Politics 3&4
Literature 1&2
Gen Advanced 1&2
Economics 1&2

Year 12

English 3&4
Lit 3&4
Specialist 3&4
EITHER

economics 3&4 (making business my seventh subject)
Business 3&4 again

So if i do nothing in business this year and i actually like it then could i do well in it if i repeat it? or just do economics or another subject?
Repeating is pretty pointless. I don't get why you just don't do either BM or Politics in yr12 instead of yr11 though? Couldn't you just do 5 subjects next year (two 3/4s, three 1/2s)?

the school doesnt allow you to only do five subjects because they dont want to give year 11s extra study periods and all the other subjects in that block are ones i wouldnt do they're like systems, physics, food tech, PE, nothing that interests me

Or possibly University enhancement subject in year 12? It is a generous increment to the ENTER score, and doesn't require you to repeat a subject which you may already have done quite well in.

just putting it out there, you *could* do an 1/2 in year 12 for the sake of filling a block...? I suggest Philosophy.
