Repeating subjects

So I did 1\2 Business management this year but I wanted to do 3\4 politics and methods next year so I wasn't going to do it.  Then I found out that there were clashes with my year 11 subjects so long story short I'm doing 3 year 12 subjects next year.  My coordinator says I can just repeat Business Management in year 12 but I've heard that when you repeat subjects you get bored.

So do i just do absolutely nothing in Business Management to avoid boredom?
Has anyone repeated subjects before?

(I could just do four completely different subjects in year 12 but I do like Business Management)

hard

i'm not quite sure your situation since i'm confused by which year you're in currently and why you are only doing three 3/4 subjects if you're in year 12 next year. Furthermore, if you've completed unit 1/2 bus man, then why would you repeat it in year 12? that's idiotic. But i see repeating a subject as torture. do not do it. you will bore yourself to a shit study score unless you're really keen.

I agree. I could have repeated Psychology this year, but then I thought, I HATED it, so why would I want to suffer through it again? It's really good to have different subjects also to have variety when it comes to going to uni. You wouldn't want 5 subjects on your portfolio when you can have 6? Unis don't want someone who repeats a subject when they can get someone else with a wider range of subjects. A bit of food for thought...

Your post is a little misleading.... have you already completed business management units 3+4? what makes you think you'll need to repeat business management? *is confused* Please clarify wombifat... :)

Oh and another question, which year are you in at school?
Year 11 next year I presume?

I think the scenario is:
2008 (year 10): busman 1/2
2009 (year 11): national politics 3/4, methods 3/4, busman 3/4, other 1/2s
2010 (year 12): 3 3/4s + busman 3/4

I'm confused as well, just find another unit for year 11, or just don't do one and get extra study blocks :P

There really is no need for them to repeat business management, and anyway when they finish VCE they'll have completed 6 subjects anyways.

I think he doesn't wanna do more than two 3/4's in Year 11 next year, but the co-ordinator has made him do BM because of the timetable.
He might be thinking that he might not do as well as he potentially could in BM as he would have if he did it in Year 12, so thats why he is considering repeating it? ???

Maybe... but I mean it's not that hard to do well in business management, if you have the resources :) .... if he does struggle with business management then.... he can refer to my sig ;) :P

Lol..Hmm, well he can just wait until he's completed BM next year, see what SS he got and if he's not satisfied, then consider repeating it.

Or, he can refer to your sig and not have to worry about repeating it at all :D hehehe

Indeed, he could always wait and see what SS he gets for BusMan :)

This year (year 10)

Business Management 1&2 (I actually liked it)
English 1&2
Methods 1&2

Next year (year 11)

Methods 3&4
Business Management 3&4
National Politics 3&4
Literature 1&2
Gen Advanced 1&2
Economics 1&2

Year 12

English 3&4
Lit 3&4
Specialist 3&4
EITHER

economics 3&4 (making business my seventh subject)
Business 3&4 again

So if i do nothing in business this year and i actually like it then could i do well in it if i repeat it? or just do economics or another subject?

I really see no point in having a seventh subject if only six count in the ultimate ENTER score? On the other hand, if you didn't do as well as you could have in BM, you may repeat it, as you already know the course and can have a slight advantage over the others... But I strongly advise against repeating subjects, and I'm thinking a seventh subject wouldn't tremendously hurt if you do better in it that one of your other subjects...
