Monash = Get 98 or higher, and you get $6k per year. Go Monash Engineering, where scholarships are handed out like candy!

UoM called my brother up for an engineering scholarship due to his 45 raw in spesh. He didn't apply for it or even have engineering as a preference.

Wow... And I'm stuck scholarship-less. :S (Is there such thing as a first year scholarship... like, one that you can attain after you finish 1 year of uni?)

Yes. There are also one-off payments you can win for doing well.
For information, you would check VU's site for scholarships and bursaries.

Well you're transferring (hopefully) after first year aren't you?
Not sure if you could get one if you do transfer.
If you stay at VU, I think the only way you get a scholarship is based on your financial situation.

If he is referring to his brother it was probs years ago. The policy must have obviously changed now.

hmm i dont think you automatically get a scholarship if you get over 98. They said up to 50 so if there are like 50 99's applying then us 98's would be left scholarshipless

are you thinking of this one?

The 98 has more places than the 95 one, iirc.
