Don't know why anyone would be peeved about this, as we're talking about marks in the range of 0 to 15%.

It's not like you can write "Fuck off" and then follow with your essay to lock in the marks you got from "fuck off." It's one of those optimisation problems where you start off with something short and sweet and can get full marks in one criterion, then once you diversify, you are at risk of not getting full marks in that criterion, but overall you're gaining because of the other criteria that you're satisfying.

...unless you're getting 7.5% for each "fuck off" you write ;)

   Generally people objected because they thought it was symptomatic of decreasing educational standards[as well as prudish attitudes], but i see your point
