hey
i don't know if you guys have read the leader news lately, but when i was reading an article i found VCEnotes in it.
Congrats to Bethany Hooper!
"CHRISTMAS came early for many of Brimbank’s VCE students, with good cheer arriving online and in the mail to celebrate a successful academic year.
Among the municipality’s best and brightest were 19 students at Catholic Regional College Sydenham with exceptional ENTER scores of 90 and above.
Dux of the school, Bethany Hooper, from Melton, said attending revision classes and using a VCE students’ website,
VCE Notes, had helped her achieve an outstanding 98.1 score.
But she said hard work was the main key to her success.
The 18-year-old said she made good notes and went over them frequently to keep up with course content.
She is hoping to get into veterinary science at Melbourne University but said an engineering course could also be an option.
Liam Loriente, 18, of Taylors Lakes said his 97.1 score was “beyond my wildest expectation”.
On reading the results online, he “sat and stared at the screen for a few seconds” in disbelief.
Throughout the year Liam kept a balanced approach to his study.
He played tennis and said he kept on top of his work as it came in.
“I tried to finish work in class so I didn’t have extra homework,” he said.
Chennelle Mendoza, 18, also from Taylors Lakes, partially credited the support from parents and teachers for her high score of 96.5.
Her parents helped by being supportive and providing food while she was studying.
“They weren’t naggy and were very patient,” she said.
And the teachers “were always there when you needed them”, with extra practice papers and revision booklets.
With her score, Chennelle qualifies for the physiotherapy course she was aiming for at Melbourne or Monash University. Other top students at CRC included: Stefanie Fabris (95.9), Tara Ciantar (94.6), Samantha Mangiagli (94.5), Benjamin Siveges (94.3), Irvin Rizardo (93.

, Daniel Flores (93.6), Renee Del Grosso (93.3), Natalie Duca (92.6), Richard Rebello (91.

, Dalton Borg (91.2), Justin Farrugio (91.05), Tam Do (90.9), Nicole Tedesco (90.85), Matthew Harrington and Matthew Hadid (90.15) and Lana Blazanin (90). "
