VN Yearbook designs
« on: December 24, 2008, 03:13:46 am »
Hey guys,
Since some members of VN are working on the content for the yearbook, I decided to create some designs such as the front cover and page layouts for the yearbook. I'm not even sure if a cover is required, but I just made the cover for the fun of it.

Here is the cover page:                                                                         Here is an example of the page layout:

If you like me to make any changes such as the sub-title or the colour scheme etc. just say so.

PM me if you want me to send the image file of the cover.

Thanks

Yay, you're back Daniel.

That's honestly some good work. However to be a nit-picker, I'd say shift the text a little (Vcenotes Yearbook...) toward the left and maybe change the font of "Memories...".

Also, the apostrophe is meant to be infront like: '08 :P

But really, that's some awesome work. +1

you've got to have the site logo on it somewhere aswell

maybe set the background colours in accordance with the logo otherwise they'd clash and look weird

To be frankly honest, this site's logo looks pretty fugly, so it's probably good that the logo is not on the cover.

how about some graphics?
looks a bit plain. Also try different shades of colours to blend in with the background
Oh and remember to use no more than three different font types - it's a convention.

Something about the cover (i think its the leaves and the font) makes me think of the design as a design for funeral company.

Don't like it. It's 'VCENotes', after all.

Green just doesn't work, too.
