Yep, I love the general look of your version, with the overlays and stuff...it kinda reminds me of the checkpoints covers (is that what it's reminding me of!?!)

I also agree it needs to look a bit more fun...eh I wish I had ANY version of Photoshop. I've been wanting to get it for so long, but can't justify the price :(

Try the program Gimp. It's the free alternative to Photoshop. (IIRC, with a few plug-ins its nearly on par with Photoshop.)

I didn't think GIMP was on OS X, but apparantly it is!? Dloading now :)

i really like this idea. the logo will actually fit well with this colour scheme, since the colours in the logo itself complement each other and the general blue fits with the "soft" background.

very nice work. the simplistic idea is always better. now we just gotta work on content...and some way of distributing it =]

i like jsimmos but the image of the papers and the calc. shouldn't be blurred, i reckon.
