Writing - a sad tale

There was once a day when I wrote essays solely judged on word count.

'Oh you have to have at least 4,000 words' etc..

Now I'm out at work, and writing specifications for various projects I'm working on. My output is no longer measured in words. It's measured in pages - because 10,000 word things are pretty normal.

[/finishes 45 page specification]

*sigh*

tl;dr - don't complain about that 3,000 word essay in Uni - it's only the beginning.

That's good to hear. I use to ask that as well back in year 8 and 9. "How many words does this have to be?" etc. Nowadays I finish writing what I have to/can say and it's enough.
I like writing long pieces of work. It looks impressive (for myself). :)
