amy sorry i meant old testament. Btw u have done a great job of missing my point. Why not actually honestly answer my questions?

To be frank, there were no questions asked in your post apart from rhetorical ones. Furthermore, you directed them at hard, not amyminchin.

For reference:

im sorry but i laughed when reading 'hard''s response to Atyler's questions, you say your god would never ask you to kill your family yet in one of the new testament's most famous passages 'God' asks this question to directly to Abraham(I think, and it is to murder his son)....sorry 'hard' but your clumsy rationalization does not impress..
And you know you have been brain washed by your cult when the only way to disprove it is to die...sorry but i think you have played right into his hands and proved him right...your response to the first question supports the notion that there is no way to hinder the faith of the truly religious as there beleif systems are inherently resistant to any kind of doubt in god; even if someone was to expose the bible as not authored by god (which it has already been to a large extent) you folk would simply rationalize this as further proof and reinforcement of your god, two hundred years ago christians attributed the diversity of life to a 'creator' yet now we  are lucky enough understand that this is actually the product of evolution, however this is, conviently, no longer argued by (most of) the religous as evidence, and a new mystery is used to 'confirm' the existence of a godin the minds of the religous. The 'you cannot disprove god absolutley' arguement has been disposes of and has no place in an intellegent conversation.

Ultimatley it does not matter what you beliefs you hold, if they satisfy and fit into your world view then so be it, however I am deeply disturbed by any mind that finds the stale and sisnter notion of a sky god satisfactory. By the way 'hard'; what does your god look like? where is it? What does it say to you- Does it whisper things to you?  What does it do for you-change events-provide luck? Can you touch it? I usually find that religous people have no answers for these questions because the do not actually live in accordance with their belief, but rather just say them out of indoctrination.

Btw, Nice quotes Matt The Ratt. Heres another.

'Of course god is infinite. God is the infinite amount of nonsense one can know about absolutley nothing'

^ Precisely. I was just pointing out the inaccuracies in your Biblical references.

I think only one person you named is Asian.

PS. Doubt you'd want to meet up in real life anyway. ;)

dumb bitch.

You are done here. I don't know how many accounts you have, but in my view, these posts deserve a 7 day full ban. I'll let the other mods decide whether or not to ban you forever.

Did anyone watch that show on SBS the other night about the parents who wanted a one minute piece read out to all year nine students about 'gaps' in Charles Darwin's theory of evolution? Part 2 is on Sunday. Very insightful

Gaps? I'm sure there are things that are not explained by Darwin's theory, and there is nothing inherently undesirable about teachers highlighting these. But of course these gaps do not therefore imply the existence of some "intelligent designer". This is a logical fallacy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_the_gaps

Well the whole thing was taken to court over this one minute speech. The school allowed the one minute speech so the parents got major pissed off. Even George Bush got involved

Oh and I should have said that the Cristian activists also wanted new text books which supported the 'intelligent design' theory (should I call it a theory?)

That is quite a significant point to leave out :P And no, you should not call it a theory. You should call it an abomination.
