Champions League 08/09 thread

This thread probably should have been created ages ago, but with the draw announced for the second round of matches I thought it would be a good time to start one. By the looks of it, there's gonna be a few top matches at such an early stage into the tournament with the big 4 English sides all having tough matchups. My boys, Manchester United have Inter Milan which will be a tough encounter.

Yeah, its quite common. The main use for it is to develop youngsters who would be starved of opportunities at their current club.

like Gourcuff.. you see any of his matches for Bordeaux in CL?

He was pretty average/didn't get much game time at Milan, but we loaned him out and now he's killing it at Bordeaux.

Good times ahead for him :)

Liverpool are looking good for champions league beating madrid 1-0 away, but well have to wait and see how Manchester United do as they are the main competitors for Liverpool.
