Yo,
Yeah, Eureka Seven Ao. Watched ten minutes and got bored. The music is nothing like the original and the character designs are ewww.
Watched a bit more Clannad. No offence, but that the main girl seems pretty one dimensional and her parents are annoying. >.<
Forgot to mention, That blonde hair guy is bloody annoying aswell. I enjoy it when the girl bashes him up.
I'm assuming AS makes the blonde hair guy a....... likeable character? Or he already is.
The card captors DVD's go for like $500. No joke. But they're re-releasing it in australia.
I remember watching it on Cartoon Network aswell! All good until the theme song came up and my dad was ... on the computer.
Did you watch it uncut and all that? I never liked uncut anime, when I was a kid, as it sounded like R 18+ stuff.
The main guy is alright. What episode does it get intense or 'better'? (For teh first season) (I won't skip!).
BTW If I don't cry at this show, Does that make me heart less?
lol clannad doesn't exactly shine until mid way to end of season 2, however, the characters will grow on you, it's on arcs, so the first season focuses on the different characters and their respective 'arcs' as they appear in the game (visual novel to be exact). You'll see that in AS, almost every character is likeable and you can personally relate to almost all of them. Ohhhh trust me, you will shed a few tears at least in season 2 lol, there's a reason why it's ranked consistently ever since it came out top 3 of MAL and on aniDB, this show is just that powerful

Clannad was better when it was just a VN.
Yeah I do admit that some of the side arcs were probably done better in the VN (I've played through the entire VN), but there are OVAs for tomoyo and kyou, the tomoyo one is a masterpiece and I think is done much better than the VN (cmon it's animated!) but the kyou one lacked impact and wasn't as emotional as the one in the VN. However given that, they did a reasonable job for each characters respective arcs, I mean it's always hard to animate a VN and clannad is by far one of the best animated VN there are, compare it to all the other junk VN-adaptions, clannad is a league above.
However the main route, Nagisa x Tomoya, is done almost to perfection in the anime, you can't really find ANY problems with the animation of this arc. It's widely agreed that it's probably the best animated main arc out of any VN adapations.
This is what makes Clannad AS so much better than the first season, the first season was just there to follow the side character's arc from the VN and slowly make you grow to understand and like each character. But this is essential to understanding the main arc in the 2nd season, without the first season you will not understand the transformations that the 2 main characters have undergone through their life, which in AS is done to perfection.
Seriously, just read the reviews on mal (actually go read some of them, they're written so eloquently, better than any review i can ever come up with lol)
http://myanimelist.net/anime/4181/Clannad:_After_Story, there's not a single bad review on this series, and most MAL viewers are picky kents
