What's your favorite anime ?

I watched 'Grave of the Fireflies' yesterday and have been an emotional wreck since but even so I'm glad I watched it. Has anyone else here seen it? What are your thoughts?

I don't if anyone has already posted about this anime but "ANOTHER". Watch it it's very good only 12 episodes won't take up too much of ur time.  And if anyone tells u to watch "school days" tell them to fk themselves.

I've watched 'Grave of the Fireflies' and I'll just say I absolutely hated the movie. It seemed contrived

and I felt no sympathy for the male, he should have just sucked up his own pride/dignity/w.e and lived with his aunt, it wasn't that bad living there. But he was too stubborn and, with the money that his parent's left him, he thought he could survive own his own, whilst supporting his sister, ... with no job and no shelter but I guess that is attributed to his age ... I can't remember how old he was.

Oh and I watched 'Now and Then, Here and There'. That's a very good anime to watch, it's an oldie. Basically about children soldiers being exposed to war and dealing with the aftermath of their actions. (

 EDIT: I forgot to mention. Watch the movie 'Redline'. Such a good anime film, it doesn't really look like an anime, but it is and it was animated by Madhouse. The ending was beautiful, with the accompanying music. XD

(Don't search the ending music on youtube, it gave me quite a shock but it suited the ending perfectly)

The anime is incredibly cringe-worthy at times, but that's part of the experience. I actually don't remember what you're talking about, but he does do some pretty weird things. Keep at it though! It's worth it.

The thing that frustrated me the most is his apparent ability to access money that whole time. But I guess the whole point of the film is the meaningless/unnecessary waste of life.

Yeah I found that frustrating too. Although what frustrates me more is that I think people are misinterpreting Seita's (older brother) motives behind leaving his Aunt's. I don't think his decision was an issue of stubbornness or pride. I mean he is 14, coming to grips with the death of his mother, uncertain about the fate of his father and is burdened with the responsibility of looking after his sister, what has he to do with pride! I mean he is clearly unwelcome, even from the beginning and the last thing someone like himself needs is the feeling of being unwelcome. Of course he was foolish to leave but he was nearly compelled to do so.

 Maybe he felt a need to escape the reality of his situation and isolate himself from the world and felt that moving to the old shelter/cave he could achieve this. In my opinion he could be forgiven for his decisions, however wrong they may have been. If he thought that he couldn't of survived alone with his sister, I seriously doubt they would have moved

I started to watch zettai Karen children the unlimited. Only 2 eps I watched so far but it reminds me of code geass and seems pretty good.
