I actually couldn't really tell if it was bad bad or it was just because I was disappointed because as far as I remember in the LN, Fairy Dance was actually a pretty good volume but I couldn't really feel the same atmosphere out of the adaptation.

I've started watching Shingeki no Kyojin because Water recommended it.
It's really good, but I should mention that it's kind of gory (more gory than Elfin Lied).

I've only just started this show actually, and I thought it was going to be not that great since the premise didn't really hook on for me, that is until I saw how much of a badass everyone was with their 3DMGs. Seriously, I can't get over how ingenious those things are.

Yeah, I enjoyed that one. Don't want to write any spoilers, but it puts an interesting twist on the whole magical girl theme.

Not anime, but this manga series is great. It's kind of like Shingeki no Kyojin, but about giant humanoid cockroaches.

With the space program attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. They came up with an efficient and cost effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and the insect corpses would serve as a food source for the mold.

It is now the year 2577, and the first manned ship to Mars has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they find are giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily wiped out, but not before sending a transmission back to Earth. Now, humanity will send elite warriors to exterminate the mutated bugs to reclaim Mars.
