So, reviving this, i recently got into Afro Samurai. I'm really digging the music, it's fucking awesome.

Much better than cowboy bebop or samurai champloo made by the same guys. I know people usually hate dubs but i reckon this is pretty good.

For anyone who enjoyed SAO, I recommend Log Horizon.
Some of the fundamentals are different, which I think makes it different enough to SAO such that it has its own unique storyline.
For example, in SAO the characters can die, but not in Log Horizon... which seems great at first, but creates its own problems because people are living meaningless existences without purpose nor an end.

Anyway... it's up to about episode twenty at the moment, and is currently airing.
It's set in the same world as SAO, but I think about thirty years later.

Are you sure they are set in the same world?
I'm fairly sure they are two different animes with no connection.
I also recommend Noragami.

They're not set in the same world (pretty sure Log Horizon is set in the game 'Elder Tale' since it's mentioned quite a bit near the start of the anime) but the overall feel of SAO and Log Horizon is pretty much the same. Log Horizon is just more technical (the explanations are really cool) and Shiroe is not as near of a slayer like Kirito LOLOL :')

Upcoming anime I'm looking forward to include SAO II (please don't screw up), Psycho-Pass II (Y) and Akame ga Kiru (worried about the censoring though :/)

I watched that a couple of months ago, and I got confused.

"SwordArt Online Extra Edition" release date is April 23rd, but only BluRay/DVD release.
Haven't personally come across a release date for SAO II though.

Curious, but has anyone seen Major!? I'm not really into sport anime's but that one has to be the exception, I had my doubts at first when my friend was introducing it to me to this baseball anime but it was hella worth it!
