PC DIY? Which is well...next door to Box Hill's MSY anyway so I assume you can't go to that area since you're asking specifically for not MSY. In that case, which location are you looking near exactly?

In general, I doubt it. PC DIY has certain things cheaper than MSY, but still yeh, I think MSY is generally the cheapest. However computer stores always have specials and stuff so you'll need to do a bit of research perhaps to find the cheapest at a given time.

CPL is also pretty good for hardware, get some stuff cheaper there. Dudley street just off spencer

hmmm i have to disagree.

i remember building my comp at the start of this year. the build from msy parts was around 5k. going to centrecom clayton, they got it down to 3.8-4k easily =]

just some personal experience

How the hell did you rack up 5k when you're building it yourself =\ My computer's pretty decent and it came just to 1.3k or so this year.

I managed to get my build to $5k :P

Note: monitor was >$1k on its own
