Does anybody have a list of the name of the people who got an enter of 99.95 for their enter?
-
has anyone here got an ENTER of 99.95 and appeared in the news?
-
I know Polky has appeared on the news... Not sure about Synesthetic though?

It's inspiring to see some people achieving the magic number '99.95'. I don't know how these 'kind' of people achieve it. Is it due to hard work/commitment/determination or having a genius IQ/talent/high intelligence? I'm quite awed by these type of people, I guess I'm in next line to achieving the perfect number for next year if I am committed and believe I can achieve it,. Only about 30-40 students per year achieve the perfect ENTER. Anyways, achieving an enter above 90 is still impressive :)
EDIT: My first post and I'm new to this site. I never knew a site such as this existed for VCE students such as myself.. I'm gonna download some VCE resources and study ^^

Sadly, I'd say that it seems to be a combination of both...having one and not the other typically wouldn't get you as far as 99.95

I chose "no media" when I was asked yesterday. I would hate being on TV!
But I was there, like 10 metres away from the other three from MGS who got interviewed and appeared on the news.

I think the people who get it have a natural aptitude towards learning. Its not something that they just decide in year 12 and work hard and get it. It takes years of hard work to improve all your skills and peak in that year.
-
I would like to see those 99.95 ers verse each other in a brain olympics :knuppel2:
-
lol there would be no winner.
-
Whoa. Is anyone on that list from this community?
-
I would highly recommend working consistently throughout the year.
It certainly does not take 7 hours of studying a day or whatever to achieve 99.95 - I spent most of my nights on MSN and IRC. Just set yourself realistic short-term goals, work towards them, and remember to stay relaxed! :)

I think that's complete bollocks.
I use to have a sleep schedule like that. After two months of only 2-4 hours of sleep a day, things become crap (at least for me). Migraines and sleep where you fall asleep without actually remembering to sleep if you know what I mean. It's just like your brain shuts down. All I got out of it was building up a huge caffeine tolerance.

Wow... I have always slept throughout the year no matter what! I am pretty happy with my ENTER score, and wouldn't dare to lose any sleep, even for a 99.95. :P

lol, wasn't there a whole thread where you said you hadn't gotten any sleep for a month?
but I can't get to sleep. No matter how much I try, I keep rolling around and just can't get to sleep. It's not that I don't want to go to sleep, it's more that I can't get a proper nights sleep

Well whatever works for you, I guess! To be honest I am (still) very surprised with my score seeing how I slept through about 70% of my classes, was regularly late to school and spent all my time on the internet.
Fluke much? :P

@ Polky: Lol, after school I would jump on VN straight away! I thought 70 at the most! XD (Constant study to the point of exhaustion is not the way to go. :P)

anne (a 99.95er) did over 60 specialist practice exams just fyi :)
-
Minh-Quan Nguyen's older sister went to my school - she graduated at age 15 in 2004. I reckon smart-ness runs in their family!
I went to school with Eric Leung...that guy is unbelievably smart, to say the least lol. No one was surprised at all to hear that he got 99.95 and Dux! And he does EVERYTHING, not just studying.

Yep...nina graduated last year. And YES everyone knows Eric. He's just...THE Eric lol!
And seriously, I can't believe he thoght 43 raw in Spesh, IN YEAR 11, was a crap score, and actually REDID it this year...LOL.
*Edit: In '04, some people at my school told me that Minh-Quan Nguyen's sister got yelled at by their mum for "only" getting a 95 or something...and she was 14 when she graduated...not sure how much truth there is to that though!! Well, mum must be happy with this one lol! :S
-
Could that person be lying about their "tactics" I mean I highly doubt someone who slept 2-3 hours a night for a whole year could possibly get 99.95... but then I wouldn't know what it takes to get 99.95 :-[

And also really bad acne, really bad fitness, limited friends, limited social skills and no real life experience of how to handle themselves in a variety of situations.

OK. I think theres been some misunderstanding. The quote must have been taken out of context like he was probs talking about his schedule the week before the exam, and if so, then fair enough. If since year 7, then........i dunno wat to say.

ROFLMAO that made me laugh so hard!!!
Well not quite. He's not exactly a "ladies' guy" at the moment, but he sure knows how to talk to parents. So who knows haha. You should have seen him in action at our valedictory dinner, chatting to EVERYONE'S parents...they must have been thinking, geez, this guy's the "perfect son-in-law" LOL! He's a nice guy though. Very modest too, even though his intelligence level is through the roof.
