If he got it right he'd be at a disadvantage, but I think getting that question right was more of a one in four guess than anything else - it's so controversial. In either case, it was fair to eliminate this question.

And yes, the exam will still be out of 90, but you'll simply be guaranteed to get at least 1/90, although maybe not if you didn't put any answer in.
