Is it really risky to move from one overfull class to another overfull class? I want to change my Psych 5pm one to the earlier session.

You'll just get an error if you try moving it.

I went there today. They said my timetable was fine, and then they changed it without telling me. Now I've got five hours in a row on Wednesday. Yippee!

No, it is fine. Only yesterday I moved from a full prac to an overfull one.

Ooo, so sorry. I remember trying to do it with one of my classes last week, but it didn't work. I just tried it with my transition lecture, and I managed to change into an overfull one. I just can't change back into my old one (it doesn't really matter which one I go to, anyway).

edit: maybe it varies from subject to subject?

Curious but how do they even know if you've attended the lecture or not? I know for some/all subjects attendance is required.. So how would they know if I switched to the afternoon one unofficially?

Also, has anyone ever been able to go to a lecture for a subject that they don't even do? Is it easy to get caught out?

The lecturer wouldn't know whether or not you attended the lecture or not unless the class size was pretty small. They wouldn't know if you switched to another lecture. I did it all the time last year for my classes...All lectures are the same..

And yes, I have been to a lecture that I wasn't enrolled in. Again, its not easy to get caught out unless the class size is very small and the lecturer knows you from tutes.

I need a time-warp thing like Hermione from Harry Potter. Then I can have 2 days of uni and funtime for the rest of my week.

Do lecturers run the tutes? I thought it was lecturers/lectures then tutors/tutorials or something.

Hmm... On the first day when we could change our timetable, I moved from an overfull prac to another overfull prac. Like it doesnt stop you from moving to full/overfull. Somehow I managed to make major changes to my timetable haha

Your original timetable is like death row. So packed. I almost feel guilty for complaining about mine. :(

They don't take attendance in lectures, so moving to another stream unofficially should be fine. As far as sitting in on lectures for subjects you don't take, I have and many of my friends have, people don't care as long as you aren't disturbing others.

It depends on the subject.
For Psychology, i know the lecturers will definitely NOT run the tutes.
