Hehe, I think I got my license...if I remember correctly, it was like a laminated piece of A4 paper, with the teacher writing, Congratulations! You can now use a pen! :p

My pen licence was actually a card. We needed 5 stars and you would get a star for doing well in spelling tests or other stuff.

I was looking through my year 6 book and read about myself, I wanted to be an architect.

As for Pokemon, it took off in 1999 at our school and soonly trading cards was against school rules since trading occured in class (eg when sitting on the floor) and teachers would be on the hunt during lunch time. We would all wait until school was out to trade, but even then we would get caught. I can't believe I still have my cards and one goal of mine was to get the original foil charazard and it never happened.

Then in 2000 it was digimon and in 2001 it was gameboy COLOUR, lol.

A pen license should be like a driver's license IMO, you need to get it renewed ^^

Hah, I still have a holographic Charizard somewhere. But I thought Pokemon took off in '98... I remember it was massive in '99 though. Then in 2000 I went to high school and all of a sudden Pokemon wasn't cool anymore :(

instead of Pokemon we had Tamagotchis...?

I don't think they were around we when were in prep either... grade 1 or 2 I think they came out.
yeh, they were around in my yr 6, in 97. (How old do you think *I* feel :()
My teacher hated them with a passion, once a kid in prep asked her how her one worked -she took it up and threw it in the bin.

Sorry they did take off in 98, but in 99 they were massive. By 2000 it all died down.

First it was Powerrangers!
Then Pokemon cards followed by Gameboy! Colour. With Pokemon Gold version. All i remember was Mew and Mewto or sumshit and noone could beat me lolz.
Then came Beyblades and Digimon.

By year 6 it was The handheld Digimon which you shake to walk it. but noone cared anymore, the sole focus of going to school then was to play footy and cricket.

I remember a time when everyone would play marbles at recess and lunchtimes too, that was weird

I was looking through my year 6 book and read about myself, I wanted to be an architect.
I found my kindergarten book and back then I wanted to be a construction worker when I grew up (?!?)
