did u see that holding the ball decision against essendon were the guy dropped kicked  goal. was def not holding the ball. stupid umpires.

Unfortunately to the letter of the law that was holding the ball. But yes, I agree it shouldn't be and the interpretation should be reviewed.

On another note.. article in the paper today suggesting Malthouse called Milne a 'rapist' at quarter time on friday night. I personally have no issue with a coach giving it to other players and I really hate Milne BUT if this is true Mick's gone too far.

yea mick took it too far.
lol wat about cox and natanui on the phones at half time ;D

unless they catch it on an umpires audio they have no evidence im not a collingwood supporter.
but if mick did say they he deserves all he is coming because a coach should not be allowed to talk to an opposition player let alone to call him a rapist.

Yeah I get the feeling St.Kilda will be relying on the testimonies of all the players nearby of which there were quite a few... It's not really concrete evidence but it would be hard for the AFL to ingore like 10 Saints players all claiming something like that.

cox fones TAB: " a yeah 25k on harvey for b.o.g" ;D wouldve tripled his money as harveys odds wouldve been shocking coming of last weeks performance.

I don't get this business with the phones. They can talk to the coaches box all the way through the game, why not using mobiles during a break?

Still not convinced... as if players need to be on the phone during a match to rig a bet, there's a million ways to do it. The AFL may as well ban players from contact with anyone else during the whole season, and it still wouldn't be able to stop players riggin stuff if they tried.

They didnt even tag Boomer. I mean with that sort of tactic, why wouldnt you think this sort of rigging is happening.

Also i think boomers odds would have been pretty good. Everyone was predicting he would come back strong...He always has everytime the week after a shit game.

@Yitzi_K  The phones that are used to contact the coaches box can only be used for that. They are only connected to the coaches box. Whereas a mobile can connect you with practically anyone.

So? Anyone can phone the coaches box. Conceivably, a coach in the box could be on his mobile to someone else and put the mobile to the coach box phone to talk to a player that way. Would that be legal?

lol its only 7 rounds in, I wouldn't go with Freemantle. Sure they've had a dominant start but don't forget  the past couple of years years. They've consistently finished bottom 8, coming 3rd last both 09 and 08.

I'm going with Geelong. Gary Ablett is just unstoppable in an already powerful midfield. And now that Scarlett is back there dominance over other teams should continue (shows how important he is to the Cats backline, they crumbled against Carlton when he was injured)
