Hahaha :(. Though if it's timed right, I do take advantage of it by going to the doctors for a medical certificate (doctor never specifies the reason on the slip, always puts "illness") ... so I get to hand in assignments later and skip tutes.

heh that a good point... although gotta way the good vs negatives...potential cure or at least less symptoms vs late assignments...

I have this prescription nasal spray prevention thing- Rhinocort it's called- you can buy it without a prescription but it's much weaker than my super dose :D But if my eyes play up, I take Zyrtec. I envy those who do not get hayfever.

Yeh, Rhinocort's the only thing that works quite well for me. Haven't been bothered to get the high-dose one ever since it became a prescription med though so I just rely on Telfast now. You can just get the low-dose one and take two puffs though; same thing really...

That's the spirit.

I also jump on the bandwagon of 'holy shit hay fever is so bad this year'. I haven't breathed through my nose for a week now, and my eyes are so red I doubt hard drugs can get it that bad.

I almost sneezed reading this thread. This is the first year I've gotten super bad hayfever. It makes me sad.

Telfast Is what ive been using. Zertec one ( or however you spell it ) = WAYY tooo drowsy lol.
Took these other ones aswell .. but drowsy + they didn't work

Telfast ( the heavy one) works for me .. But only last 2-3 hours . which is annoying because the label says 24 hour relief lol.
But 2-3 hours is better than nothing.
The best thing I do.  ( and this seems crazy)
Let a lemon .. juice it into 200ml water ( PUT IN HEAPS OF SALT) ... put in mouth .. spin it round .. spit it out .. do a few times .. then drink a bit LOL .. then take a telfast .. and bam .. you got 4-5 hours relief. haha

Also
problem with these tablets is
I dunno if this is just with me .. but
after you take them for 2-4 weeks every day 2 times a day or more ... it seems like your body gains a "resistance" to them.
I took a telfast today ... and it literally did NOTHING.
but other days . i take it after a rest of 2-3 days ... and it works within 10-30 mins ... so its a bit weird.

Older generations of fexofenadine had weird pharmacological fruit juice interactions like that, could be something in that.

I usually get 24h+ from telfast though

It's so awkward when you sneeze once, and then whoever your with says I bless you, and then you sneeze another five times -____-

I hate hayfever.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

yeah today i took telfast 24 hours 180mg... at 6am... and when i got to exams... it wasnt extremely bad but i had a sniffly nose and had to waste time in the toilet cause i kept producing excessing mucous and had to wash my face and blow nose...so yeah your body would probably become tolerant of the drug after a while if you keep using it

no one is considering allergy shots?

Today was really bad :| So not looking forward to tomorrow.
I've been trying to get my mum to let me take antihistamines of some kind, but she's adamant that "I'm too young to be taking tablets". You have no idea how much that sucks.
