Wow, SL all out for 105! That was unexpected!

GO AUSTRALIA!

(and the newest spinner LYON!)

EDIT: With SL 120/5, Australia looks to be in the box seat!

A good result for new skipper Clarke :)

Australia 273 & 210
Sri Lanka 105 & 253

Australia wins by 125 runs :)
MoM: M. Hussey

Hopefully this sets a trend :)

Really enjoyed the test between Lanka and Australia. Copeland seems like a pretty decent bowler (good line and length). Good to see another spinner do well. I don't want to jinx Lyon by saying he's the messiah :P Doesn't really matter how you do on debut (think Krezja and Warne).

Highlight? Clarke's second innings 60. Pure class. He is arguably the world's best player of spin.

Apologies for double post.

I have to comment about India's decline. It was not unexpected and I'm really glad that their true 'ability' finally surfaced. They've become an undisciplined unit, no doubt the effects of the hype and advertising created by money driven league's such as the IPL.
Very glad that they are no longer no. 1!

Agree with Sammy there, they all had their heads stuck in the IPL and didn't prepare properly for this series. I used to not be able to see the link between the IPL and the decline of test cricket, but it seems to be becoming increasingly evident...

I tend to find that debut spinners can sometimes get a quite nice first game, perhaps it's something to do with the fact that the batsmen aren't very used to playing their style of spin. I know that's definitely the case with me when I face spinners xD

All hail Mr. Cricket! What a legend!

Three man of the match awards in a row!

South Africa should prove more of a challenge.

I think they are now in the same position the Aussies were a few months ago actually, they'll bounce back :)

Anyone following the T20 Champions League?

How good was David Warner? Back-to-back centuries! (although they still lost to Gayle and Kohli :( )

Yeah, that RCB vs NSW game was awesome. Mumbai Indians vs. Somerset should be a good game as well.

Seems like a solid start for Aus in the first test, although it is New Zealand. Didn't get to watch any because of school, then when I got found out play wasn't resuming :( If anyone was able to watch any of it, how did Pattinson and Stark look?
