Real bowler's Test so far. Not an extreme amount of seam, but just enough to find outside+inside edges. Yadav looks like a gun, also I've been really impressed with Ashwin so far, he looks to have all the makings of being a very damaging all-rounder over the next 8-10 years.

Would love to see Hussey make a century tomorrow.

I played heaps but taking a break for yr 12, but i take my bats seriously! clean, knock, oil and prepare all the time, every now and then!

I'm thinking of getting Adidas bat, just cause sachin uses it, and i love sachin, and yeah.. haha.
theres this guy in bangalore india, named bhandari who modifies bats according to your weight, and stuff. really keen on that!

I'm a fan of Gunn & Moore bats, have 6 of them. My favourite is my dad's old Autograph Plus. It is taped up at the bottom due to cracks, has many marks and blemishes but is absolutely fantastic.

I'm the same, have never bought a pre-prepared bat, do it all myself.

... how can you say that? they're not shit sticks..
they're great bats. the one i opened and have been using for 4 years now has an amazing middle, and has been the only bat ive used upto representative cricket and seniors.
so NO, they are NOT "shit sticks".

The MRFs are not shit, and were also used by Brian Lara and Steve Waugh. Compare an MRF with a Puma Ballistic (a real "shit stick") and you will see a world of difference.

they are not real bats though, they weigh a fucking ton, and are oversold simply because great players had an mrf sticker on their bats.

what level of cricket do you fellas play?

i understand that each person has their own "type" of bat. but it is widely accepted that MRF's are NOT worth the hefty pricetag that they come with.

personally i prefer fischers, gms and newberries

if anyone thinks they are getting the bat the pros use just because it has got the same stickers they are kdding themselves.

Of coarse you don't get the same bat the pros do, those are individually tailored. And I do agree that MRFs are not worth the price, I don't like them myself. But just because something is overpriced doesn't instantly make them shit. They still are of better quality than many other bats that I see regularly, such as the ballistic and impala.
