i just got back into dota after my friend let me use his account for dota 2 for abit. he wants it back sadly =(

i need a beta key >< !! lols and League of Legends is not a great substitute anymore with the servers being down more often than usual =(

Go sign up on the steam site, you'll get a key in the next wave of invites most likely. Or just buy a key lulz.

(never posting in this "dota" game thread again)

Might as well just wait it out. I heard it's out soon and free to play. Fuck paying 40 bucks for an invite
It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

I can't believe it.

I was expecting SO many more heroes to be released before my beloved Dirge and Lanaya (SURELY Centaur Khan/others would have come out before them) but they've been released in consecutive weeks! MY LIFE IS COMPLETE.

I just absolutely love dirge aosudhqowueq#!#NQOn

This is the single best ever game of dota i have ever seen.
http://www.dotacommentaries.com/index.php/commentaries/12898/

Some pubs i've played have been nearly as exciting and intense, but to see that type of momentum shifts in a pros game is insane.

if you have an hour spare watch that game. It is the most intense game ever between 2 international heavyweights. (D1)
haha I saw it when Doc first casted it ages ago. But Lumi is just as fucking awesome.

Fucking EPIC game, I miss the good ol MYM days, now it's just all chinese domination.

Makes it even better that its a F4F game, reminds me of the epic MCiTy days when they actually beat MYM :D

How do you guys get into watching competitive play? I only enjoy playing the game and watching the amazing plays that people like DotaCinema and MineskiTV put together. Not whole games of mostly inaction.

Professional gaming seems a bit silly to me.

I watch it for the casters, speaking of which EG and Darer match is coming up in 3 hours :P Also professional gaming is not silly when you consider the dota international torny prize pool of over 1m (winner gets 1m!!)

Yeah i got into it when i stopped playing lol, however it's very inteesting and intruiging. After a few casts and games i learnt so much about dota mechanics and such and the things the teams do you'd never, ever, see in pub games.
Pub games also get frustrating

AM: CM could you grab some wards please?
CM: If you want some wards go f***** buy them yourself

Na'Vi vs IG game 2 in semifinal was so epic!!

That turn around was insane. Clip over here for anyone who wants to watch.

Quote from reddit explaining what's actually going on for those who find the battle a bit too hectic.
Quote from: joker10101
The lead hero from the river is Naga Siren, her Song of the Siren allows her whole team to setup a NASTY team combo combined with Dark Seer's Vacuum while the enemy team sleeps. A near guaranteed team wipe if done properly, but the big black-purple dude named Engima had an item that gives magic immunity, he activated it the moment he came out of sleep and used Black Hole, which is a gamebreaking channeling AOE disable. Note the tentacles coming from the ground: that's Tidehunter's Ravage, which failed to disable the Enigma and was used a second time by a hero named Rubick that can steal spells. A near instant reverse team wipe, which is unheard of.
