How long does it generally take for results for summer semester to show up? I know this is quite an open-ended question(lots of factors involved) but I did my exam yesterday and I'm going away next Monday, so I was wondering if there was a chance I could get my result before then.

Fuck I just realised one of my subjects has its lectures in the law building at the very bottom of campus, and I have that subject wedged between two others that are on the other side. Is ten minutes enough to get from one side of the campus to the other? Am I going to have to run?
The lectures are recorded but there's an attendance hurdle requirement of 75%  :'(

Attendance isn't usually taken during lectures I don' think and you might be able to change it on the 20th when more places are released

Yeah it takes bloody ages to get to that building. I used to do it on the Pushbike but it was so annoying cause I had to make sure the bike was outside the building of the lecture before. If you can change it to something not horrifically inconvenient then do so on the 20th otherwise just be prepared to speed walk.

What subject? Last year I took Linear Algebra over summer and the results came out toward the end of first week of semester.

I've been on campus to try this actually and ten mins is enough time - just need to speed walk a bit :)

Am I going to have to run?

LOL. Sorry, I just envisioned some guy running across campus frantically. DW, this will so be me anyway, even if I really don't need to run. I love being punctual.

Awesome! Highly unlikely that you'll be mentoring my group but it'd be cool if you were :')

Also, does anyone know what nights these O-Week parties are happening? I know about the Arts one, but that's about it :P

I just did Intermediate Microeconomics. There's 10 tutes so I'd estimate around 100-130 people do the subject.

End of first week of sem 1 seems quite late, I guess my expectations were too high.

Ohhhh wait, you mean a host! Nah, I'm not one of those :)

UMSU is introducing a mentoring network for new students, so if you're worried about starting Uni and would like some guidance about the ins and outs of uni, you can apply to be assigned a student mentor.

I had a bit of an emergency today and was unable to attend my training session. Do you think the Student Mentor Network will allow me to go to Friday morning/afternoon's session instead? I've emailed them already but haven't received a response yet.

I remember reading somewhere that it takes 20 working days for summer subject results to be released.

Where can I find the list of programs and the like for o-week? On the main uni site it makes me sign-up but is there a way I can find the schedules without having to sign up?
