Help please!

I got 79 for Viscera and Visceral Systems which, while an improvement for me, is disappointing because I put a lot of work into the subject. I went to almost every lecture, went to all prac classes and did well on both the MSTs (H1s) but fell short on the exam.

So my question is - has anyone ever been in my situation and contacted the subject supervisor about it and had any success in bumping up their score? I'm thinking of asking if they can review my exam to find any extra marks. I really wanted that H1!

Thanks in advance :)

Does anyone know if you can be eligible for the third year Dean's List if you don't do 100 pts (8 subjects) of Level 3 subjects? I took seven, but one was an extra subject not in my degree, and my breadth this semester was Level 2. The policy document isn't very helpful. Thanks!

I think the relevant part is

Quote from: https://policy.unimelb.edu.au/MPF1063#section-3.4
To be eligible for inclusion on a dean’s honours list for a year level within a particular course, students will have:
- passed at least 62.5 points of subjects at the designated subject year level of the relevant course
- passed at least 100, 200 or 300 points in total in the course for consideration at first, second or third year respectively

aka in my understanding you need to have 62.5 points (5 units) of level 300 stuff, from across a total of 300 points (3 x 8 units at any level - enough to say you've actually completed third year). so I don't think you need to actually do a whole 8 300 level subjects to be considered!

Hey guys. I'm hoping to get some help with my subject selection. I've been on Leave of Absence for the past two years and heading back to uni next year for my second year of Bachelor of Commerce. Since I haven't done subject planning for a long time, I'm struggling to choose between subjects.
I'm planning to major in management and finance, but I still want to do few marketing subjects as part of my commerce electives.

For now, my study plan looks somewhat like this:
Semester 1: MGMT20001 Organisational Behaviour, MGMT20003 Project Management, BLAW10001 Principles of Business Law(as my breadth), and a commerce elective I haven't decided on.
Semester 2: ECOM20001 Introductory Econometrics, FNCE20001 Business Finance and two commerce electives/breadth subjects.

I was hoping you guys could recommend me good level 2 marketing subjects to choose from and I'm wondering if I should take on more finance subjects since I'm only doing one finance subject next year.
Also, has anyone taken MGMT20003 Project Management or MGMT20002 Managing Operations? I haven't been able to find anyone who has taken that subject and I'd love to hear about these subjects (what it's like, pros and cons, etc)

Thank you

I don't really see a reason why you can't legally - but the main thing to consider would be the limited time window in which GAMSAT results can be used. For example, if you sat the Australian GAMSAT in first year, you wouldn't be able to use the result for entry into a postgraduate course, assuming a standard three-year Bachelor degree (the results are only 'valid' for two years IIRC). I'm less familiar with the non-Australian GAMSAT tests, but you can find a table on ACER's website that will tell you which GAMSAT results will be valid for which years you plan to commence your postgraduate course. That, and sitting the GAMSAT isn't exactly cheap (~$450), so there's that to consider too.

GAMSAT UK results attained in first year will remain valid. It's a bit of an expensive gamble because you probably haven't covered all the material at university just yet, but I had some friends do it just for the experience and achieve scores competitive enough for medical school applications (it really took the pressure off them for the rest of their degree).

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask... but would anyone happen to have the lecture notes and recordings for ANAT20006 Principles of Human Structure and PHYS20008 Human Physiology they'd be willing to send to me? Or even just the course structure/ syllabus would be great! If not, where is a good place to start studying for these subjects seeing as the break is extremely long and I'm just searching for things to do hahaha

Thank-you in advance!!!  :)
