Thank you for your input, Russ, it was helpful to hear! I didn't want to bother you because I thought you would be busy and also annoyed at how I am generally just the most indecisive person to ever exist :3

Out of curiosity, what was your dream project?

I'm getting nothing done because I'm freaking out 24/7.

I'm feeling the same about how behind I feel with uni, anyone else feel the same?

I know I'm just a naive jaffy with no university experience, but yes! D:
I'm not even behind in anything except Bio (I'm really patchy on lectures 18-29, and the Bio sample exam indicates that once I learn all the content there's no way I can do badly) but I feel like, looking at the past papers, that Chemistry and Calculus are going to consume my soul no matter how much I know, and there's so little time left to learn everything D:
I'm in a perpetual 'oh god I'm going to die' state.

I'm actually afraid for week 12 to finish. The time of procrastination begins.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is doing Honours after postgrad study (such as the MD) something that's being discussed here?

Before, not after, but yeah it was discussed above.

I'm a first year commerce student. I do want to get good grades but is it really THAT important that I get 80+ for all my first semester first year subjects? I mean, they don't really count for much right?

It's not super critical or anything, but when will you decide they are important?

They will be important if you apply for summer internships during 2nd year. The HR won't have any other grades to look at apart from maybe Semester 1 2nd year. As long as you don't fail it should be ok.

2nd year. I'm doing actuarial studies and plan to become an actuary so apart from accelerated maths (and maybe intro micro) none of my subjects are relevant to my career plans.

Btw what are summer internships?
