GUYS !! ;(
I just did my first exam (Chem10003) and I totally forgot about that rule about writing in pen for section B (in the script booklet.). Now Im hearing the Angus Weale lecturer said they dont mark scripts that they receive in pencil because of some bs about the possibility of bribery or whatnot. Am I screwed? :(

Im hoping they take into account that im a newby first year! In a bit of panicc

Pretty sure they will just let this slide considering it is your first year of university and the first day of the exam period.
I'm pretty sure they just do that so people tend to write in pen due to threats.
There's no reason why they shouldn't mark your exam: it's not like you have access to it to change answers.

Can we bring our bags into the exam room? If not, where can we store them?

Will I fail Mind, Brain and Behaviour 1 if I got an H2A on the assignment but score <50% on the exam? I'm so worried :(

The reason why they are entitled to refuse to mark it is because if it's in pencil then you can allege it was altered etc.
Depends on the marker, they'll probably not care.

Put them in the big shipping containers outside.  Bring in any valuables.

Thanks. So what about my laptop? I can bring that into the exam room?

I know you can bring in laptops and iPads.  But when you bring it in, you MUST put up your hand at the start of reading time and surrender it to an invigilator who will take down your seat number and look after it at the back of the room.  At the end of the exam, just go and reclaim it.
