Damn, what happened?
Basically half way through the semester, our lecturer had a medical emergency so he had to go to hospital (he's all good now), but he was unable to lecture for the rest of the semester -we haven't seen him since early September I think. However we had some fill-ins and we managed alright.
So gets around to SWOTVAC and he's uploaded exams for the subject since 2009, they're all pretty much similar in difficulty and style so me and my friends were feeling pretty confident going in.
In the exam itself, it was clear that it wasn't the original lecturer who wrote this exam. The question style was completely different, things that were barely skimmed over in lectures were weighted heavily, things that throughout the past 8 years would ALWAYS appear didn't pop up.
I'm fairly sure that some questions in the course weren't even supposed to be there - ESD2 wasn't supposed to be a pre-req for FoEN, but there were ESD2 questions in this FoEN exam and so many people in my cohort (who didn't do ESD2) literally could not answer the question because the material wasn't covered in class.
While they may could argue *all content is examinable yadda yadda* it's so unfair that we were set an exam by another lecturer that didn't bother to look over what is normally emphasized or what we were taught. All that study was for nothing.
