Depends on what stream of honours it is.

My friend got into honours (something to do with physio) with a 68 WAM. I understand psychology is a lot more competitive (75-80), and I'm not sure about neuroscience.

Also, even if you don't get in, you can consider other unis as other options too.
One of my friends couldn't get into Master of Engineering (he had a 59 average at the end of BSc) so he jumped straight into RMIT's Bachelor of Civil Engineering course. He'll be graduating next year, at the same time as if he had completed the Master of Civil Engineering at Melb Uni.

I used to think like you too ("my life is over if I don't make it now") but you'll learn in life there's so many different pathways to get to where you want.

EDIT: I finished my BSc last year, so feel free to PM me with anything else
This is one of the biggest problems of the Melbourne Model. You get into a undergraduate course and you're not looked after you graduate. No pathways to get into anything. Most of my friends who did Science in undergraduate are like clueless about where they are going with their low WAMs, some switching to undergraduate courses at other unis, other work part-time jobs at the supermarket.  Whereas those who went to other unis are starting full-time careers. Melbourne Uni continues to recruit students from other unis into their postgraduate (those who went to other unis and achieved higher GPAs), whilst they leave they don't look after their undergraduate students, knowing well that their undergraduate courses aren't easy to get a good GPA and making it harder to get into postgraduate course. Sorry if this sounds like I'm attacking you, but I'm just angry at the uni.

I really want to do Bachelor of Arts at Monash because Im intrigued by Psychology, Philosophy and what not. But my question is that am i able to turn this course into becoming a teacher of these subjects at high school? I did research on Melbourne uni's website and it said that after completing this course, i can do two years of secondary teaching or something. Can anyone explain this to me, please? Also, since i fit in the category 1 of seas (non-English background) am i eligible for Melbourne access, thatd help because with that i get in a course of 89 something atar with only 80 atar!

Felt it was appropriate that as I remember starting my undergraduate degree on these forums, that I should end it here too.

Reeling off one of the hardest exams I've ever done (Audit  :( ) as my final exam in my final semester, I still have a pretty strong sense of satisfaction regarding the whole degree - I managed to not only learn from some of the smartest students in Australia, but I managed to impress myself. I think Melb Uni has had to be one of the best decisions in my life - I am now a firm believer in that if you are the smartest person in the room then you are in the wrong room.

Overall it was a hard 3 years but definitely built some strong habits and discipline that I can take into the future and I'm sure this degree has prepared me well for my future career. It's honestly a weird feeling knowing that I'm done, here's to celebrating. Congrats to all those graduating beside me, but for those still in their degree, take every opportunity you can to learn.

Edit: I'll probably do a review of Audit/Corp Fi/Derivatives/FAT for those interested about 3rd year subjects so stay tuned.

Yeah, gotta echo this - the development opportunities from UoM especially for Commerce has been a godsend. Would have never gotten this anywhere else in Victoria.

Officially, December 1st. They usually start appearing before then however.

Quick reminder encouraging everyone to contribute to the subject reviews thread in this subforum when you've finished your exams for the sem! If you've used the thread at all throughout your undergrad and found it helpful, I'd encourage you to pay the favour forward to future people in your position. Seriously, you don't have to write a novel or do it for every subject - but the more up-to-date the thread is, the more helpful.

This might be a strange question but is it possible to get rid of a passed subject in your study plan if you want to do something else?
