I got excellent for mine and posted 3-4 times a week.
I would seriously contact your forum supervisor and ask what you did wrong (edit: if it was even anything at all).

This is what I sent the coordinator of the blogs: "I posted on the blog every day, sometimes twice a day. I also read the blog every day. I properly referenced everything that needed to be referenced. I also made sure to answer all the other student's questions in the blog and work with them, and not just post mindlessly. I really made conscious contribute a lot so that I could get an "EX".

It is annoying, because being really honest, I actually tried really hard hahaha...hopefully they can at least give me some feedback, if not change my mark  :-[

I actually think it's so important for students in general to be able to freely question their marks handed to them if they feel they are entitled to do so, it's not like they will mark you down for asking and if you don't you could potentially miss out on marks. I have heard from some people that it's only a minimum of 3-4 posts to get an excellent so if you have done everything you've mentioned here I don't really see why you could possibly get a grade lower.

Hope it turns out well.

So I've missed a full week of Accelerated Maths 2 (along with all my other subjects) cos I've been sick, how screwed would I be right about now? :P
shouldn't be too worried, the last week of am has been relatively chill. only relative to the other stuff we've been doing though. >.<

you know what is worrying? realising the bio midsem is next week and i havent been to a lecture (or even looked at any of the content) since week 1. epic cram time begins now. :'D

oh i have my vcess interview on saturday~~ wonder what i'll be asked. XD im awful at interviews >.<

Does anybody know what number the blogs for physiology were out of? I didn't really bother posting last time since I am anemic and was already struggling to keep up with that week's work.

I'm not sure if anyone really knows. You just get a grade like excellent or maybe pass at the end of semester - I can't even remember if they posted results right after each blog. I think someone got a G? Not sure what it means though.

How do you guys go about maximising information retention when learning/reviewing material? I've read many times now that learning/reviewing via reading the content is one of the most ineffective ways to study - which I find is particularly true with myself as well since I usually can't recall much of what I read a day later... D:
Do you take some notes as you go through it? What are your methods?

Practice questions and reading the content usually does it for me. I think the reason why my marks went down last semester was because I wasn't getting the content into my long term memory by constantly reading over and over the same lectures etc. before I went on to the new ones. I've also been writing my notes down this semester which I think helps.

Summarising, then imagine yourself explaining it to an average layman who has no idea what you're talking about.

Rereading my notes and drawing out mindmaps/flowcharts usually does the trick for me, in Bio sciences at least.

Can't say the same for stats + physics though...

They did. Good luck to all.

If there's sufficient interest I can run a (free) 30 minute Skype session on general preparation.
