I think I'm in love with Zumdahl, I'm understanding physics the FIRST TIME I look at it. I could have just skipped the quantum lectures entirely :V

the lectures are so bad for it so you better read up on that quantum.

and learn the particle in a 1d box, it comes back in 2nd year.

Yeah it was a serious oversight, I orignally wasn't going to finish the Bachelor degree and just do the prerequisites for the Eng Masters (I already have a Bachelor).... so I started off part time, without Chemistry.... and then decided I wanted to do the full Bachelor but it was too late to take up Chem.  Oh well - just gotta get that H1 in Fundamentals!

good luck to us then--might see you next year :-)

Not too many Eng students on here but zomg Andrew Ooi is a bloody terrible lecturer.
Nice guy but he is so irritating to learn from.

Okay, so i thought learning 20 amino acids was bad...Then we had our glycolysis lecture today.

Out of the fire and into the frying pan!!!

Do they actually ask you to draw out the entire 10 steps every single exam??

May I ask which resources you purchased? I'm looking to buy some gamsat material if they aren't too expensive!

I recommend ACER booklets at the very least. The learning materials you don't have to buy as the internet has the best resources, but i think you should buy question booklets and practice exams.
:D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D

Yes you have to know the ten steps of glycolysis. Sometimes they give your prompts like give you a couple of diagrams and you fill in the rest, but i have also seen exam questions that have required the ten steps in full. It's not as bad as it looks, just write down the whole sequence a week before the exam each day and you should be fine.

Thank you! :D You are a calming influence lol. What kind of structure did you memorise? He said you could use Haworth or Fischer projections.

Whenever I attempt to ask someone at uni if they want to be friends, it comes out sounding like a threat

I don't think the direct approach would really work.
It's good to use questions like "so what other subjects are you doing, how are you finding the subject for X__, hey do you have facebook incase we need to discuss the assignment (lol)"

LOL that's what I do, it works very well in a sly fox I-know-what-you're-really-doing-way. I think I almost express intimidation regardless. You have a choice between adding me on fb so we can collab on the group assignment, or the Judas cradle.
