If I don't show up to my physiology exam, they can never assess me

Well, when we're all living together in a rural south-east-Australian town and a bushfire strikes, Daphane and I will be the ones who save the villagers, not you u___u
(I'm sure it's a wonderful subject, but DON'T STEAL NATALIE AWAY FROM ME I NEED A BREADTH BUDDY FOR NEXT YEAR AS WELL)

I might register in the marine biology one if...you tell me why you begrudge Living Longer. I CAN'T COPE WITH SECRETS LEVI. NEED TO KNOW EVERYONE'S BUSINESS.

I like that within this thread lies an impassioned defense of keyboard cake.

I can't possibly imagine why you'd want to spend a week at the Queenscliff Marine Consortium on the beach looking at protists, other than because you like sun/underloading/crafts, but sure. Living Longer looks interesting and thought-provoking, but there are other subjects I'd much rather take (like The Secret Life of Language, which I was enrolled in until yesterday); I'm still somewhat open to the idea of taking this one next year, I just like being belligerent and uncooperative. Also, if the subject is popular with human/health science students, I'll probably end up being that one idiot in tutorials asking really simple questions (this happens in all my science classes, I asked what ER was in cell biology before realising it was the acronym for endoplasmic reticulum).

No hurdle dude.

Friend got virtually full marks for the assignments (20%) but then bombed the exam (31/80) and got 51% overall LOL

I don't think so, just 50%+ overall for a pass.

I was thinking of taking Business Negotiations as a level 2 breadth next year, has anybody here done it/know someone who has? I'd be doing it to overload so my year 3 semester 2 is a bit freed up.
Im doing this over winter :P

I do love the sun. 'Crafts'? As in build a boat? As in we get to build a boat and sail away with protists please~? My lack of recommended knowledge is off-putting since it's a 6 day subject, but I am enamored with the sea and the idea of spending a week collecting sea shells. Maybe I should just do that instead. I promise that breadth subjects have no recommended background knowledge whatsoever.

Will i still get a job in eng if im getting 60-75s

Can't speak with any authoritah, but that sounds excellent considering the high fail rate of some eng classes.

If I don't show up to my physiology exam, they can never assess me

I have my muscle and exercise exam at the same time as you and your fellow PHYS20008 students :O
Let's swap exams plz, I can do the muscle & exercise portion of your exam in exchange for you answering 10+ pages of muscle & exercise questions in my exam :D

but there are other subjects I'd much rather take (like The Secret Life of Language, which I was enrolled in until yesterday)

Ah yes, that subject where despite receiving H1s for the intra-semester assignments, I received a H2B for my final mark :l
DON'T BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY THE FINAL EXAM IS SIMPLE AND LIKE THE TRIAL EXAM THEY GIVE YOU.

All done! Time to start my clean up, I think! :D

EDIT: I intend to just keep my notes and my assessments. This is sufficient, yeah?

Burn it all.

PS: just read your review on Biomolecules and Cells. So cut that they didn't give you Gardner for stem cells. He's, like, made awesome discoveries in that field and gave an absolutely amazing lecture on that stuff. Disappointing!

:D :D :D Could you please do a subject review afterwards? July semester (next year) is when I want to do it so it'll be good to have an idea of the workload. Have you done any other Management subjects? because a lot of my friends back home at UWA are doing OB as part of their BCom and they all say it's easy but boring.
Will do! I have not done any other management subjects (unless Finance 1 counts - did this over the summer). I am terrible at painting so decided against painting techniques and this seemed like an interesting option

No, don't do it!! It's the worst mistake you will ever make (ok, maybe a bit dramatic).
Maybe this will help change your mind, there are lectures on NUTRITION and MENTAL HEALTH (perfectly compatible with your psychology subjects).

Marine Botany is science, not breadth, I don't think I'd be stealing Ballerina from the subject :P

'Crafts' because preparing herbarium specimens is not scientific at all, it's much more like art, especially for algae, which are more involved than land vascular plants. Also, I lack the "recommended background knowledge" as well, and will still lack it at the end of the semester. That subject, by all accounts, was a shoddily-run mishmash with no coordination and the people I know who took it also know nothing about the ocean. I doubt it's required, and I think the underlying logic is pretty simple anyway. I might email the coordinator and ask, actually, now you've made me worried >:I

Other reason you should learn about marine flora: it'll give you the hands-on laboratory experience you have so far lacked in your degree. And maybe Aztec Algae will call you again and offer you a job ;)
