Why don't all subjects give out the past answers with the past exams? Maybe it's just this subject or we were spoilt with so many past exams in year 12...

Because they reuse the questions from previous years. If they gave you the answers, they might as well give everyone an H1 for the exam because we'd just memorise all the answers! Plus, it seems some lecturers prefer getting their beauty sleep over thinking of new exam questions...

Burn it all.

PS: just read your review on Biomolecules and Cells. So cut that they didn't give you Gardner for stem cells. He's, like, made awesome discoveries in that field and gave an absolutely amazing lecture on that stuff. Disappointing!

:(

Well, it was still a very positive experience. Tomorrow I'll write a CHEM10006 review, which won't be anywhere near as positive. :P

I liked the subject myself as well. Not Laura though. We don't agree there.

Well we only had her for 3 lectures this year, so that could also have played a part.

Will i still get a job in eng if im getting 60-75s
Depending on the firm 60-65 may be the cut off for screening i.e. they cull applicants with < 65 averages. Higher tier firms may have a 70 or 75 - it depends what you want to do and where. If you have reasonable extracurriculars you should be fine to get to interview stages and from there it's really up to whether they think you'll fit in with their workplace and culture!

Stop stressing out mate! You'll be fine. Personally I found Eng Maths considerably easier than Calc 2. But if you end up only just passing Calc 2 I'd go over what you struggled with before embarking on Eng Maths because there is almost no overlap, and you don't want to start Eng Maths already behind in knowledge.

Avoid the 60s and try for the 70s. Also, get internships and work experience. You'll be fine. You've just taken two challenging subjects. I felt a bit demoralised after MAST10006&7 also. But second year has been great.

I did Engineering Maths this year and Calculus 2 last year in semester 1 ( in what many has said was the hardest exam and most infamous).  Engineering Maths is a lot more straightforward, and very formulaic and hence I found it more enjoyable.  Not saying Engineering Maths is easy from any stretch, but it does at times challenge you in particular topics such as topic 5. They actually re-teach the series and sequences (topic 4) that was in calculus 2 in engineering maths, so it should be easier the second time around.  If you consider doing Eng Maths, do the problem booklet and I mean all of it, because questions are bound to come up somewhere in the exam.
