^ Every time someone picks neuroscience as their major, a kitten is adopted from the pound and a rainbow appears.

Hrrrmmm I'm not sure whether to do biochemistry. I hate biochemistry + molecular biology, and am not great at chemistry. Or 70% exams. It's not a prerequisite for anything I want either. But I don't take any other molecular/cellular/microbiology subjects, and the research project list at Florey Institute seems to emphasize molecular biology. Research in general emphasizes molecular biology.

If I were to do biochemistry I'd probably need to swap cognitive psychology for it, and cognitive psychology sounds reallllllllllllly interesting. It feels abnormal not to have a psychology subject. And a semester of research-based physio + biochemistry + anatomy + living longer: a global diagnosis sounds very dry and technical.

Why don't you necessarily want to do a Phys major anymore El?  Just curious about the change of heart.

Having done both CogPsych and Biochem/Molecular Biol AND now doing research, I would probably choose Biochem out of the two. It will be good for you to have that sort of background if you do research! And I think I enjoyed it slightly more.
Having said I enjoyed it more, I now anticipate that you might choose CogPsych :P

Hey guys, do I still have access to my semester 1 subjects on the LMS during semester 2?

Or should I just download all of the semester 1 lecture notes now for future reference?
They will disappear at some point.

It's just too broad for me atm and i'm not enjoying the subject content (like muscle & exercise phys), i've listened to some lecture recordings in the neuroscience major and there's a lot of crossover between the subjects. In addition, the major subjects focus a great deal on neural circuits like the vision ones so it's closest to the eventual job (opto) that I will hopefully do in the future!

Question to y'all who did eng comp in first semester... were the lectures recorded?

One of the lectures for sem 2 is at 8am, and i sure as hell will not be able to get myself out of bed that early, if they're not recorded i'll certainly swap to foundations of electrical networks, which has more reasonable (although still not ideal) lectures times at 2.15

Hey guys, for those who have done Eng Mathematics, how would you compare it to calc 2 in terms of difficulty, workload etc? Will it be necessary to do some prestudy in the holidays?

For those out there who have done PHRM20001 or PATH20001, how was it? I'm tossing up between these two and I can't seem to make a definitive decision. For the PATH20001 CAL tasks/tests, were they difficult at all? Were the 2 MSTs difficult? Which one did you guys find more enjoyable? (assuming you guys have taken both but if not I'd be very grateful for your opinions!)

Yes they are. Last semester the equipment crapped out a lot though.
