You guys are all going to be fine. It's normal to feel anxious before an exam - especially in your first exam, in first year. It's a completely new experience, and it's quite different from VCE. But - very few people who study fail an exam, especially in first year. If you've put in an effort in SWOTVAC you'll be fine. You got the ATAR to get in (and in the case of biomed, the absurdly high ATAR.) You can pass your first semester, and, later on, get your degree.
Thousands of people (myself included) have faced the CHEM10003, BIOL10004 and MAST10005 (shudder) exams and passed. You'll be fine. And - even if you do fail (which, as I've said, is unlikely as long as you've studied,) it's not the end of the world. The transition from high school to uni can be quite tough - it's a new way of learning and it's very different to high school socially. My first semester was probably my hardest semester overall (although the content definitely got tougher, but more interesting, later on.)
Spoiler
And yeah. The fail rates for first year, first semester subjects are pretty damn low, excluding maths.
Unsolicited last-minute tips from an experienced exam taker - get a good night's sleep tonight (no point last-minute cramming if you've already covered the course,) arrive at the exam venue 15 minutes early (and give a bit more time then normal if you're taking public transport.) Stay off caffeine this afternoon (although a bit late for that now.) Wear something warm - the REB can be freezing in winter (it's pretty hard to heat.)
Does anyone know any good places to study near the REB?? I have two exams on one day separated by 5 hours
Walk over to uni.
