so this is probably a stupid question but does anyone know if it is still possible to book appointments with the biomed centre using the sas system? It says there are no advisers so any ideas who I could email regarding subject planning?

also I'm planning on swapping to science at the end of the year - do you think it's possible to do anatomy and physiology next semester instead of HSF while still being enrolled in biomed?

How'd ya find the UNIB20007 exam ?

Felt the clock or what.

I thought it was pretty good, but yeah, I only finished with like 30 seconds left. Then in the last 10 seconds I realised I hadn't written my student number on each page of the script book for section B, as stipulated by the exam instructions (I honestly thought it was sufficient to just write your student number on the front cover) and quickly managed to scribble those in before time was up. Consequently, I'm afraid I didn't read the instructions for something else and screwed up. :S Anyway, what's done is done, and I'm sure it will be OK. :)

speaking of that, what happens if you don't put your SN on all the pages of the multiple choice question book and only on the front cover? It's not like they would mark any of the answers written in that

For anat20006 the pre-requisite is 'first year of Bachelor of Biomedicine' so probably not................. unless you're in 2nd year

I'm in second year and I'm hoping to switch to science at the start of third year - I know biomed students who do anatomy or physiology because of exchange, so I'm just wondering if I could do those subjects if I explained that I was hoping to switch courses

Couldn't you use up two breadth slots and enrol into both anatomy and physiology for the semester anyway? Then when you switch you have credit for those subjects. My friend did something similar when he switched from biomed to commerce.

Actually you might want to ask the student centre first, because you wouldn't want to waste two breadths like that anyway. Sorry I can't be of more help...

It depends what subjects you choose for your major but the 2 cores ones (Principles of Neuroscience & Neurophysiology) don't need chemistry. I would do chem though because it opens doors to a lot of subjects :)

Definitely do chemistry because it's a prereq for Biochemistry/molecular bio (BCMB20002) which in itself is a preqrequisite for Melbourne MD/DDS.
If you don't do Chem, you close off potential majors like Pathology, Pharmacology etc.
BSc (2015), MD1 (2016)

I don't want to do medicine  :P And I'm pretty sure I want to major in either psych or neuro so I probably won't need it then I guess.

In subjects with 2 or more workshops/tutes/whatever (e.g. Linear Algebra) do you need to attend workshop 1 before attending workshop 2, or does it not matter?
